Property Description

Welcome to Alberta Lane, your own private peninsula on the iconic Eggemoggin Reach. With 28 acres of secluded woodlands, 500 feet of private shoreline, a deep-water dock, and two beautifully crafted homes, this is where the timeless beauty of coastal Maine meets luxurious, soul-soothing comfort.

Coastal Privacy, Redefined

Follow the winding drive through meadows and forest to discover Alberta Lane: two homes tucked among tall pines, perched just above the legendary Eggemoggin Reach. Known to sailors around the world for its beauty, this tranquil stretch of ocean is alive with lobster boats, schooners, and the occasional fleet of classic wooden yachts.

Step out your door and you’re right in it. 500 feet of private shoreline, your own deep-water dock, a boat house, and beautiful views across the Reach to Naskeag Point and the scattered islands in the distance. Watch osprey dive for fish, seals bob in the tide, and the light play across the water all day long. Spend the afternoon in an Adirondack chair overlooking the water, or take the double kayak out around the nearby islands. You might spot seals, osprey, bald eagles, and the starfish gliding below the tide.

The Main House

Airy and warm, the main house opens to vaulted wood ceilings, skylights, and a stunning fieldstone fireplace, the centerpiece of the open living space. Light pours through the sky lights windows and glass doors, drawing you out to the screened porch and beyond to the deck and lawn.

A spacious eat-in kitchen, fully stocked with modern appliances, is perfect for preparing lobster dinners or cozy breakfasts. Multiple sitting areas throughout the home invite conversation, board games, or curling up with a book.

Room for Everyone

The home is designed for groups to spread out and reconnect. Three spacious bedrooms are located on the main floor, while the guest cottage offers two twin bedrooms, a sleeping loft, living area, pull-out sofa, and its own kitchenette, perfect for extended family or teens seeking a bit of independence.

Thoughtful Touches & Comforts

From the deep soaking tub tucked into a wood-paneled alcove to the quiet reading nook overlooking the trees, Alberta Lane surprises you with moments of simple luxury. The spaces feel peaceful, lived-in, and genuinely restorative.

What Makes Eggemoggin Reach Special?

Eggemoggin Reach isn’t just a body of water — it’s a living part of Maine’sheritage. Quiet and protected, yet endlessly dynamic, it’s loved by sailors for its steady breeze, rich history, and peaceful, natural beauty. Staying on the Reach means you’re part of the story: where schooners glide past forested coves and working boats haul the day’s catch. Alberta Lane offers front-row access to this iconic stretch of coast, something few properties can claim.

  • It’s a world-renowned sailing passage, part of the route for the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta, one of the most beautiful wooden boat races in the U.S.
  • It’s flanked by Deer Isle and Naskeag Point and dotted with small, pristine islands, so it’s great for kayaking and exploration
  • It offers incredible wildlife: bald eagles, osprey, seals, starfish, sea birds
  • The water is exceptionally clear, and beachcombing reveals mussels, shells, and more
  • The vibe is both peaceful and alive — quiet forested shorelines with the daily rhythm of boats working and sailing through
  • It’s part of a region where arts, nature, and tradition mix — lobster boats meet artisan studios, sea breezes meet string quartets

Testimonials

Something Truly Special

April 19, 2025

This property is something truly special. So private and so connected to nature. The guest cottage was perfect for our kids, and we loved gathering around the big stone fireplace at night. We can’t wait to come back.

— Mark and Kelly R., Connecticut

Alberta Lane took our breath away

April 11, 2025

Alberta Lane took our breath away from the moment we drove in. What a peaceful setting! The ocean views and the private dock create an absolute perfect atmosphere. We spent the weekend kayaking, beachcombing, and watching sailboats drift by. A true Maine experience!

— Anna M., New York

We didn’t want to leave Alberta Lane

April 1, 2025

This was one of those vacations where we really didn’t want to leave. The first morning, coffee on the porch as the fog lifted off the water, and we knew this was just what we needed. The quiet, the trees, the light on the ocean, it’s hard to explain, but this place has a kind of magic where things just slooooow down. Our kids spent hours beachcombing, swimming, and kayaking. We cooked big meals every night and played games by the fire. It’s the most relaxed we’ve felt in years.

– The Elliott Family, New Jersey
